2017 MAREA Scholarship Winner

MAREA member, Carol Ballerstein, had the honor of presenting a $500.00 scholarship to Valerie Licciardi, a Stratford High School graduate. 

Kayla Henrich from Marathon High School will receive a

 $500 MAREA scholarship to further her education.

2016 MAREA Scholarship Winners

Macey Staab from Marshfield (top) and Rachel Lemke from Mosinee (bottom) each received $500.00 to further their secondary education.

2015 MAREA Scholarship winner is Mikayla Brandenburg from Mosinee
and will be attending the University of Northwestern in St. Paul.

Marissa Nigon is from Spencer and will be attending UW Marshfield/Wood County.
They will each receive $500.00, which will be given at the end of their first semester of collage.

The winner of the first annual $500.00 MAREA scholarship was Sawyer Ladick from Pittsville.  Kathleen Hasenohrl presented the award on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the awards night.  Sawyer will be attending UW Eau Claire in the fall.  He was chosen from 17 applications from 8 of the 10 schools that MAREA members represent.

2014 MAREA AWARDS TWO SCHOLARSHIPS

The Marshfield Area Retired Educators’ Association has announced the recipients of two $500 scholarships.  They are Ashley Hartl, Stratford, who will be attending UW Oshkosh, and Anna Hilbelink, Marshfield,who will be attending University of Northwestern – St. Paul.  The scholarships are awarded to graduation seniors going into the field of education.  They were selected from a field of 15 applications received from seven of the ten schools represented by MAREA members.
